Friends and fellow countrymen/women, above is a link to the press story printed in todays Scottish Sunday mail. There are 1 or 2 little mistakes in there but I thought my old friend Billy Sloan did a nice job on it. One note I need to mention is that although we have been speaking to Sinead O'Connor about singing "Dancing Shoes"( which Sinead really likes) that in fact isn't confirmed yet, I just want to make that clear.

Hello everyone I have just confirmed another show for 12th March in Coatbridge as part of the St Patrick's week festival which is now one of the biggest St Patricks festivals in Britian. The tickets and gig venue will be announced very soon. Meantime check out our tour dates page for up and coming shows in February in Fife, Scotland and Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Hello my friends I am pleased to confirm I will play 2 shows in Belfast on the 26th and 28th of February 2010, these will be as part of the Belfast Nashville festival which runs from the 24th till the 28th of February. This festival will be featuring some great acts such as Nanci Griffith, Midge Ure to name just but two, "OOh" and JJ Gilmour. Details are on my Tour dates page. Hope to see some of our Irish fans

Hello my dear friends. After a good old rest I have finally decided to come back to life again. My mothers’ passing has taken its toll on me but its time to get back on the horse again. Thank you for all your personal messages on Facebook and Myspace. I know most of you will know that I have dates in February and March in Scotland, but now I'm also pleased to tell you that I'll play in Belfast in February too as part of the Belfast/Nashville festival, venue and date TBC. I’m trying also by the end of the year 2010 to have a new album out? Though I'm not sure how adventurous that is as I’m going to be crazy busy next year with “Dancing Shoes” the George Best musical which has it’s world premier at the end of July at The Opera House in Mr Best’s hometown Belfast. I'd personally like to thank everyone for their kind words of support over my recent tough two weeks. On a brighter note I hope you can all come along to one or two of my up and coming concerts taking place in Scotland at the end of this month and the beginning of next in (Gourock, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Coatbridge) It would have been my mothers 69th Birthday today, I can tell you the homecoming concert in Coatbridge will not be the same without her.

What a great time we had at the first of our dates down in Liverpool, it really was a blast. A big thanks has to go to Chris Scrine for all his hard efforts down there. Well we move on now and as well as Gourock and Glasgow I am pleased to tell you that shows in Edinburgh and Coatbridge have been confirmed. Hello my friends and hope this update finds you well. Well as you can see the dates as promised are being added as they are confirmed. I am trying to add an Edinburgh date too but just need the promoter to go with me on that. i have also been speaking to France this morning and hope to add some new dates there early in the new. GEORGE BEST The musical is coming along great and i can now confirm that it is booked to be staged in Belfast's Opera House in August of next year. i am really excited about this and hope you will come along to that. I have also been writing lots of new songs and i hope next year to have album number 3 out there too. keep an eye on our dates page for new dates that are being confimed for November December and 2010.

Hello my friends
Hope you are all well and enjoying our fantastic Indian summer, hurricanes, floods, and the general lack of blue skies " the joys" I forgot that living back in Ireland or Scotchland also meant pishing down pretty much everyday, but hey worse things happen at sea. I just wanted to let everyone know that as well as being able to buy my albums here from my website that both studio albums 1 and 2 are now available on itunes to download. The live album will be available there soon too.
New gigs will be posted shortly, I am talking to folks in liverpool to do a small show there, also Ireland and of course bonnie Scotchland. So keep poppin by and I'll have news for you very soon. Till then, stay safe

Hello everyone
I just wanted to say thank you for all your support during the last gigs, they were great. I am now heading back to Ireland to start work on the musical again and also to work on some new songs for album number 3. As "The Boy who didn't fall" has been so well received I can't wait to get into the studio and record another, I think we have most of the material now for the new album so I am hoping early next year we can start recording and have it out for an Easter release. I will also be looking into some more live dates and hope that very soon we can add France and England to our rosta. I did mention that I am looking into playing at peoples homes/private shows, so If you think you can invite 50 or more people to a private concert then email me info@jjgilmour.com and we can discuss it.
